My husband and I bought my wedding ring here about 6 months ago. I went in the other day to have it serviced.. The lady asked me for all kinds of information and at the end my social. She went back onto her computer.. And I thought for a second "why did she need my social?" CREDIT CARD. She was signing me up for a credit card without my permission, without even asking me if I wanted it! I asked her " why do you need my social.. Is this to get my ring serviced?" She replied "no I'm signing you up for a credit card with us." I told her no I don't want it, she got up with attitude and told me she shredded my information. Then she asked another lady to help me with the servicing paperwork. I stood there waiting for about 10 minutes, furious.. And they still hadn't helped me! I grabbed my ring off the counter and walked out. Rude service and absolutely NOT OKAY to go behind my back and mess with my credit. I will not return.

This place is terrible I wouldn't recommend them at all, they took my wedding ring for a month to swap it out for a different size and ended up just giving me back the same exact ring after wasting hours of my time. Also they called my wife to tell us that our rings were ready for pickup after I explicitly told them to call me so I could surprise her. Then the rings weren't even there when we went to pick them up the next day. They have no idea what they are doing and don't care about their customers.

I've been with Kays for 35 years and always loved them UNTIL NOW - at PARKWAY PLAZA. SIX weeks later and they still have my 16 year old wedding set in their possession because they plated it without my permission and still have not corrected it. Every manager says the same thing "We're sorry". That is it. I have asked for a written explanation and they still don't have it. "We're sorry". I have spoken with customer care twice and no help there, but they were great listeners. My next step it a written letter demanding new rings and then thirty days later when they don't respond I'll be off to file a small claims law suit. Now accepting prayers that it doesn't get that far.

I have made several purchases at the Parkway Plaza Kay Jewelers and have had great experiences on each occasion. We have met with experienced male and female sales people and have always come away happy. Two of the sales persons were Elizabeth and Rhonda and both very pleasant to deal with. For the person who had a bad experience in Mission Valley, try El Cajon Parkway Plaza.

I have to agree with other reviewers on here, don't EVER EVER EVER bring your jewelry back to get it serviced here!! They do horrible work, steal gold and make complete changes to your jewelry you didn't ask for. Not too mention take a much longer time than nessesary to ship it out to their repair crew and back. Majorly changed my wedding set, I cried alot.
